3-PEAT!!! Yes folks, our students did it again! Arp H.S. is back to back to back Vocabulary Bowl Texas State Champion! During the contest period of Oct. 1-Nov. 30, our students mastered 33,798 words. That was best among all participating Texas schools by more than 7,700 words. That was also good enough to be third in the country in Div. 3 (schools of less than 500 students) & ninth in the country overall among schools of any size. Everyone of our H.S. students participated and made some sort of a contribution to our tremendous success. #TPND

BIg ups to 🐅🏐 senior Maddie Birdsong who was chosen to play in Saturday's 2024 BSN SPORTS East Texas All Star Volleyball Game along with this season's very best #bEASTtexas 🏐players. Representing the Blue squad, Maddie had 2 kills, 1 block, & 4 digs in the contest played at Spring Hill High School in Longview. Although her team came up short vs. the Red squad, it was a tremendous experience for our Lady Tiger who's been a 4-year varsity standout. #TPND #EATT #ALLIN #txhsvb

Six Arp H.S. Lady Tiger🐅🏐 volleyball standouts garnered All-District 16-3A honors for the 2024 season. Senior outside hitter Maddie Birdsong is a first team selection for the second straight year, after earning second team accolades as a freshman and sophomore. Then receiving honorable mention are senior setter Addison Carpenter, senior middle blocker Aubrey Poole, junior outside hitter Landry Langley, junior middle blocker Kaitlynn Raymond, and junior libero Lucy Hopson. In addition, nine Lady Tigers were named Academic All-District 16-3A. They are senior defensive specialist Amanda Hilbig, senior defensive specialist Claire Hilbig, senior right side hitter Randee Black, sophomore outside hitter Emma Harris along with Carpenter, Poole, Birdsong, Langley, and Hopson. #TPND #EATT #ALLIN #bEASTtexas #txhsvb

Outstanding effort by our 🐅🏀 boys! Arp H.S. swept its way to the New Summerfield Tip Off Tournament title this past weekend. Thursday, our Tigers blew out Athens Prep 97-37. Friday they disposed of the host New Summerfield 93-48. And Saturday the defeated Elysian Fields 66-44 in the championship game. Seniors get ready to apply for college financial aid. Arp H.S. will host a financial aid form night Tuesday Dec. 10, 6:00pm-8:00pm to help you fill out the FAFSA. Way to go Lady Tigers🐅🏀! Our girls basketball JV & varsity squads had outstanding outings on the road Tuesday in Beckville. Both play Harleton Thursday, JV at 6:00pm, V at 7:30pm in round one of the Harleton Invitational (all bracket play). Friday they will play Big Sandy or Hughes Springs at 3:00pm/4:30pm or 6:00pm/7:30pm depending on how they do Thursday.
