Arp High School senior A.J. Arrington was one of just 20 musicians from across the entire state of Texas that had the opportunity to perform Saturday in the ATSSB (Association of Texas Small School Bands) All-State Jazz Concert Band.

Arrington earned 2nd chair tenor trombone and was chosen for this opportunity in competitive auditions held throughout 2021 across the state at the region and area levels.
The music exhibition was held at the Lila Cockrell Theatre in San Antonio.
Arrington got a chance to showcase his skills along with the elite high school jazz performers in the Lone Star State.
